VISA Information

There is no visa requirement for those who hold a passport from United States of Americe, Canada, Japan, Israel, member countries of Europen Union, GCC countries, etc. Nationalities from CIS countries, except those holding passports from the Russian Federation and Tirkmenistan, do not require a visa.

Pasport valid for at least six months is required for visitors of all nationalities.

All kind of travellers can apply for a visa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, at the Embassies of Georgia abroad or at Tbilisi Internarional Airport.

Also there are visa service at Geogia-Turkey border Sarpi and Vale (for the Citizens of Turkey), at the Georgia-Azerbaijan border Red Bridge, and at the Georgia-Armenia border Sadakhlo, Poti Port (for only transit passangers)

Tourists can get in georgia by Air, Land, Rail, Sea.

By Air – Direct flights to Tbilisi are available from many European and Asian cities. Non-stop flights can be taken from Amsterdam, Munich, Riga, Vienna, Frankfut, Prague, Paris, Warsaw, Dubai, Tel-Avivi, Athens, Baku, Moscow, Yakaterinburg, Kiev, Minsk, Alma-Ata, Astana, Aktau, Tehran and Urumqi. Istanbul is the main hub connecting Tbilisi International Airport to the world’s main cities.

Air Companies operate in Georgia: Airzena Georgian Airline, Pegasus, Austrial Airlines, British Airlines, KLM, Turkish Airline, Azerbaijan Airline, Belavia, Airoflot, Air Cairo, Qatar Aiways, etc.

By land – Daily buses mainly to Tbilisi depart from Baku, Istanbul, Ankara, Trabzon, Yerevan and Athens.

Railway – Railway connections are available from Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Sea – The main ports of Georgia ar batumi and Poti. They provide International connection with a Black Sea Ports of Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia.

Georgian mobile operators MagtiCom, Geocell & Beeline cover almost the whole territory of the country.

Outgoing International codes are 10-07, 10-18 and 10-10.

Amost every town of Georgia has Internet access. There is Wi-Fi zone in many cafes, hotels, squares in Tbilisi and batumi that enable visitors to use free internet.

Currency

Georgian National Currency is GEL (in georgian Lari). Unite 1 Lari = 100 Tetri.

The exchange of USD, Euros, Russian Rubles is available in special places in the streets, As for the other currencies, the can be exchanged in banks.

Credit Cards are accepted in certain hotels, some restaurants, shops and all banks in Georgia.

ATM Machines are available at city ceters.
