WINE DEGUSTATION

Winery Khareba includes an unique and rare wine cellar located in Kvareli, in the Alazani Valley.engraved inside the Caucasus mountains and opened in 1962 for the OIV World Congress, the cellar tunnel is 7,6 kilometers long. The best wines of the Kakheti region have been stored and aged here for 10 years. The wine cellar preserves a natural temperature of 12-14° Celcius with a humidity rate of 70%; the ideal conditions for wine preservation.

NEKRESI MONASTERY

Nekresi Monastery which has survived in Alazani river valley subsist of several cult structures of intermittently. The earliest one is a small church built in the early 4 th century. It was built soon after the declaration of Christianity the official religion of the country.

Along to visit monastery complex, the place is worth to visit because of its geographical location. You can look over Alazani valley and enjoy with mountains landscape.

BODBE MONASTERY

St. George monastic and Episcopal complex, situated in Bodbe (Kakheti) is the national Georgian relict. In Saint George cathedral are kept the remains of Nino of Cappadocia, Equal to the Apostles, the great Baptist of Georgia, the messenger of Christianity. The cult complex in Bodbe was repeatedly repaired and restored. In the 16th – 17th centuries Bodbe was the important eruditional centre. In 1837 the monastery was abolished. And in 1889 the convent of St. Nino Equal-to-the-Apostles was opened and is active until now.

SIGNAGI

Sighnaghi is the prettiest town in Kakheti, sitting on a hilltop full of 18th- and 19th-century architecture with a like Italy feeling. Sighnaghi has nice views over the Alazani valley to the Caucasus beyond, and is a pleasant place to walk.
